Secrets of the Underground plot
"DESPERATE KILLER!..ADDING NEW MURDERS TO COVER THE LAST..SINKING LOWER AND LOWER INTO THE SECRETS OF THE Underground"
During World War II, Nazis launch a covert operation in the United States. At first glance, it looks like a decent clothing store, but it's a cover for an espionage operation. The leader of this operation and his accomplice Maxie Schmidt create fake bonus coupons to boost the morale of their regular customers, who buy expensive clothes at their store. When eventually some of these customers start to get suspicious, they are murdered and set up like mannequins. Suspicious journalist Terry Parker, together with District Attorney P. Cadwallader Jones, tries to gather enough evidence to dismantle the illegal activities of the Nazis with their clothing business.
