Mr. District Attorney in the Carter Case plot
Recently graduated P. Cadwallader Jones is the clumsy assistant to the District Attorney Winton. Elliott Carter, the publisher of a glossy fashion magazine, has been murdered. Jones is tasked by Winton to investigate the murder case. He is assisted in his investigation by the wisecracking newspaper reporter Terry Parker, which turns out to be indispensable for Jones.
