Mélodie en Sous-Sol plot
"Don't tell the ending...nobody'll ever believe you!"
Charles is a sixty-year-old criminal who has served five years in prison. Back home in their little house in Sarcelles, he does not listen to the laments of his wife Ginette. Charles wants to make one last big blow before taking off to Australia. The plan is to rob the Palm Beach, the casino of Cannes. He wants to do this with the help of Francis, whom he met in prison. This twenty-seven-year-old young man is a determined, ambitious and rash villain. He asks his brother-in-law Louis Naudin, an honest garage owner, as a driver for the robbery.
