Lek plot
Jack, a childhood friend of police officer Eddy, has made a huge fortune from drug shipments. This is an excellent reason for the Central Intelligence Agency to use him as a secret informant with Eddy as a conduit. But all information turns out to be worthless all the time. There's someone who's betraying it. Do the police play a double role or is the leak with the criminals? Eddy's life is in danger and even his colleagues turn their backs on him.

Strong Dutch police thriller with a number of surprising twists, even if they are not all equally strong. Jansen does a reasonable job in the lead role, but the best acting performances come from Löw, Kas and Acda. Good film and immediately the best by Van de Velde, although his direction cannot convince me 100% here either.

Not a very good Dutch film, which does try to become international, but is simply too low a level for that. The acting always remains theatrical, although the level here, admittedly, is a bit higher.
Jansen absolutely does not know how to carry the film. Then we get a few other big names in our country who all have a kind of charm, but never really manage to keep the film up in the best possible way. Names such as Löw, Acda and Boot for example. All excellent actors, but they never get space here.
The tone is set somewhere with the opening, but it gives a completely wrong picture of the rest of the film. A brutal crime film is promised, but then you get a thriller that never gets exciting.
There is simply no speed. Every now and then Van de Velde tries to make the film seem a bit hip by throwing bombastic punk music in it, but this one feels a bit out of place because the editing, atmosphere, camera work and acting definitely don't look smooth or hoppy.
Little is done to make this film stand out above other films. Towards the end there is some speed and some more tension and action, but it cannot save the first 70 minutes full of lifeless thriller. Unfortunately.
Ultimately not bad, but this could be better in just about all areas.
