Former boxer Mark Miller is now a sports journalist. Mark has written an article about a murderous gang of gamblers, led by Dano Rizzo. Mark learns about this gang only when a boxer dies from injuries sustained in an uneven boxing match. This boxer had entered the fight because he was in love with Doris Burton. But Doris is actually Rizzo's girlfriend. Doris' brother Bill Burton gets involved with Rizzo because he wants to ruin his sister's good name unless he helps the gang with some questionable bets.
