James 'Brad' Bradley is a famous American trumpeter, who visits London. Shortly after arriving, he goes to the apartment of the beautiful Spanish Blues singer Maxine Halbard, whom he met shortly before. Hours later, James is falsely accused of Maxine's murder. He investigates himself and after surviving some fighting and poison on the mouthpiece of his trumpet, James finds four suspects in the murder.
