Beware the Black Widow plot

"It smashes the dirty business of call girls, drugs, burlesque & the killers!"

Mafia members are murdered by a mysterious person, who is dressed as one who is mourning. Two employees of the newspaper investigate the case in their own way, with a reporter interrogating a prostitute of the mafia. She tells him a heartbreaking story about how she ended up in the United States. It doesn't take long for the reporter to find a lead.
