Decent B-movie. Kind of contemporary film noir. Urban, the modern Mike Hammer, spends the entire 96 minutes trying to figure out who did it, and is of course surrounded by gorgeous and very willing women, so if that's your thing... Director Moresco keeps the tension high intact for a long time, and you would almost forgive him that the various plot twists come quite out of the blue, so anyone looking for logic has come to the wrong place with Bent. Lead actor Urban, who seems to make his trademark look grumpy, actually has too little charisma for a supporting role, but fortunately his contribution is not really disturbing this time. Fortunately, good old Garcia turns up in a good but typical supporting role. In terms of talent, he effortlessly puts the rest of the cast in his shadow, giving such a mediocre work some shine.

An average film that is entertaining enough because of the many plot twists and that you, together with Urban, find out who is behind the whole thing. Due to the many sudden twists and turns, sometimes even impossible to follow, you get a somewhat complex story that becomes clearer towards the end. Nice, but nothing more. 6/10

After serving a 3-year prison sentence for shooting dead a colleague, police officer Danny Gallagher [Karl Urban] sets out to prove that he was the victim of police corruption and take revenge on the dealer [John Finn] who killed Danny's colleague Charlie [ Vincent Spano] murdered. Andy Garcia plays Danny's mentor who takes care of him after his release, Vergara a cop who seems to want to help Danny with his investigation. Gallagher's indifferent performance is fatal to an already fairly routine and predictable thriller. In any case, Garcia is still trying to make something of it.
