Willkommen im Paradies plot

Germany, 1990. The Berlin Wall has fallen and the country is reunited. One evening, Detlev Peschke (Peter Sattmann) and his wife Heide-Marie (Hellena Büttner) from Bremen receive an unexpected visit from family from Görlitz from the former GDR. Rüdiger Schrobel (Gunter Schoß) wants to start a new life in the West and hopes to find temporary shelter with his brother-in-law. However, Detlev already has Polish friends over, who earn dirty money by helping with the renovation of Detlev's office. The two sons of the Peschke family also have no room for their aunt.
