"It's never too late for another chance."
Former Hollywood star Helen is determined to attend her former lover's funeral in the glamorous French Île de Ré. With the help of Priscilla, an oppressed English housewife trapped in a bad marriage, she flees London's old people's home. With their limited resources, they start a race against time to get to Île de Ré, also getting entangled in a love triangle with a reclusive Italian millionaire along the way.
