The Short & Curlies plot
Joy is a young woman who works in a drugstore. There she meets Clive, a young man who seems to communicate mainly through humor and bad jokes. But that doesn't stand in the way of a relationship between the two. Joy gets her hair done by Betty at the local hair salon. Betty is the doting mother of the gruff Charlene, but to Charlene's chagrin she can't keep her mouth shut for a moment.
