The Guardsman plot
"His disguise was perfect - did she really know it was her husband when she surrended to him...?"
The less than a year old marriage of a celebrated actor and an equally beloved actress is already beginning to show cracks. The actor is convinced of infidelity on her part and tries to prove it. Disguising himself as a Russian military officer, because he thinks she will like it, he courts her. She thinks her husband is out of town. Despite appearing to succumb to the "Russian" advances, he can't quite place her behavior. The truth will eventually reveal itself, won't it?
