The Great Gildersleeve plot
"Now! Radio's Rare Comic In His Own FUN SHOW On the Screen!"
Spinster Amelia Hooker would like to marry Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve. She hints to him that her brother, Judge Horace Hooker, could deny his request for legal custody of his niece Margie and nephew LeRoy unless he marries. When Gildersleeve replies that he plans to take in a woman, Amelia thinks he will propose to her. Gildersleeve's idea of a woman in the house, however, is to persuade Emma Forrester, the children's aunt, to move in with the family. Complications are inevitable.
