Gildersleeve's Ghost plot

"You'll scream with laughter!"

The ghosts of Jonathan Q. Gildersleeve and Randolph Q. Gildersleeve emerging from their graves in Summerfield Cemetery notice the recent headline announcing their relative Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve's candidacy for the position of Police Commissioner. Both ghosts decide to bolster Gildersleeve's campaign by exposing him to Dr. John Wells and his assistant Henry Lennox. To lead Gildersleeve to the remote house where Wells conducts his experiments, the ghosts free Wells's gorilla and take him to Gildersleeve's house.
