Gildersleeve's Bad Day plot
When Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve is called up as a judge, he considers his responsibility an honor. Gildersleeve and fellow jurors, druggist JW Peavy and newlywed Otis, are assigned to the trial of mobster boss Louie Barton, who is suspected of bank robbery. To make sure their boss wins the lawsuit, mobsters Toad and Al decide to bribe a juror and choose Gildersleeve as their victim.
