Claude (Bartholomew) moves to live with his father in Manhattan, but soon gets into a fight with Gig (Rooney) and Buck (Cooper). Claude takes boxing lessons and turns out to be such a good fighter that he ends up with Gig's gang. Together they try to collect eighty dollars for a tombstone for Gig's father. Later, Buck and Gig also find out that Claude's mother is a millionaire, so they decide to kidnap Claude and hold him for ransom.
