"He's the New Father of His Country!"
Ann Gilbreth (Jeanne Crain) tells the story of her mother and father, Frank (Clifton Webb) and Lillian Gilbreth (Myrna Loy). Her parents wanted to have 12 children, 6 of whom were boys and 6 girls, and so it happened. Father Gilbreth may be conservative and raises his children according to the old school, but he loves his offspring and is proud of his children's scissors. He has difficulty letting go of his growing children, but he will have to do so, especially if he has to travel to Europe for a number of lectures.
