Taxi nach Rathenow plot

After the German unification of 1989, problems arise with the house ownership of the old lady Edith (Inge Meysel) in the former East German district of Rathenow in Berlin. She was forced to leave her house in 1953 and she is now reclaiming her property. However, the family who has lived there for years does not want to leave the house without a fight. When the grandmother of the house invites old Edith, there is some rapprochement between the two camps.
