Spring Break plot

"Like it's really, totally, the most fun a couple of bodies can have. You know?"

Nelson and Adam are two timid boys who have decided to spend their first real Spring Break in the infamous Fort Lauderdale. When they arrive there, their room turns out to be double booked, so they have to share it with the two very popular boys Stu and OT. What initially seems to be going stiff quickly turns out to be a very good combination. All goes well until Nelson's stepfather (an important political figure) throws a spanner in the works, fearing that his son will embarrass him with his licentious behavior. In addition, he would help with his father's now-running campaign.

Unfortunately, the sexism stayed far away from this print, quite boring and slow to be honest. Only the atmospheric shots on the beaches are really worth it.

Entertaining film in the time when films like this were made on the assembly line, so to speak.

The stepfather story took the momentum out of the film a bit and added little for me personally, luckily that idea doesn't get much screen time and the effect remains in the background.

If you like bad movies in the style of Porkys, it's definitely a must see!

3*

Can't believe it took Sean Cunningham and co 100 minutes to portray this story. In any case, it has been skilfully portrayed so that makes a difference. It is mainly a student affair and that becomes clear from the first second when the college boys arrive in Fort Lauderdale. Kudos that they did make the effort to incorporate some kind of dramatic plot line into it. Furthermore, it is drinking and decorating chicks, as it should be at these kinds of locations. I always find the eighties vibe a plus, although I think the soundtrack is a bit too generic in this case. Apparently Harry Manfredini also contributed something to the score, but it is not clear to me what. Then we come to the conclusion. The film may not be very entertaining for me, but it is still entertaining enough. Apparently this is a kind of 'classic' in the genre.
