Within five minutes with the scene where Richard Pryor yells on the subway: OMG I'M NOT WHITE? Does dad know? I was already sold, the concept of 'a blind person and a deaf person' is fantastically worked out. The plot isn't much, but that doesn't matter much for a film like this. I find Pryor and Wilder especially strong in scenes with others, with the two of them they have less comedic scenes. A nice supporting role for Spacey completes the film. Will definitely check this one out

"Was there or wasn't there a woman?"
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, I'm goddamn serious!"
"Fuzzy Wuzzy was a woman?"
"What the hell is he talking about?"
"Hey reads lips, you're talking too fast."

A typical 80s film full of silly humor with the duo Wilder/Pryor, who interact very well. And Kevin Spacey with his mustache and fake British accent is also very funny. Even after all these years, I still find this movie funny. Besides Stir Crazy (1980), this is their best film together.

Fair is fair, the story makes no sense and there are errors in it from here to Tokyo. But the duo Pryor & Wilder remains for me just iconic funny! I think the beginning is brilliant. After years, I once again enjoyed myself with this film. And that's the main thing.

The reason I'm rewatching the movie today? Because it will be quite foggy tonight and the fireworks will probably be barely visible. On top of that I sit with two stuffy and inflamed ears. See no fireworks, hear no fireworks.
