"He lives with his mistress and has an affair with his wife!"
Nicolas (Marcello Mastroianni) is an actor who can only get small roles in movies, theater and commercials. However, his life becomes an even bigger mess when his mistress leaves him and he wants to return to his wife, who is meanwhile pregnant by another man.
