Rumspringa plot
When Jacob, an Amish boy, comes of age, he gets the chance to venture into the modern world, away from his farm. He decides to travel to Berlin as a rite of passage, hoping to find the origin of his people, as well as a different way of life. In Germany, Jacob makes friends, but also eventually falls in love with a woman from society. He will have to decide whether to stay with her or return to his family.
