Amusing first sequel, maybe check out the rest soon. The actions of the villagers make no sense and Danny is extremely annoying, but otherwise funny. 2.5*.

Just another King movie thrown at it after Quicksilver Highway. A movie I looked up to just like in this case Children of the corn 2,

since the first part didn't really appeal to me, and I can appreciate a bit of wrong and humorous King film adaptation. And for the second time this evening I feared worse than I got.

Once again something is haunting the cornfields and again the kids are killing. Something that, incidentally, develops faster than in the first part, which mainly shows a number of annoying children with an even more annoying leader who above all has to have a strong twist. This part switches to some action much earlier.

Especially nice is the pseudo creepy moment in church with the bleeding man. The situation around the doctor is also nice but less creepy, just like the two reporters in the cornfield. The incident with the woman in the wheelchair is also humorous. As said, the situation in the church is especially good. Also, I always like to see Terence Knox, Sergeant Anderson from Tour of Duty, and Christy Clark and Rosalind Allen are pleasing to the eye.

But that is the most said about this part that is as good or bad as far as I'm concerned as part 1. A film that is made up of clichés and other mediocre moments but is quite okay for once. It is of course not sufficient.

A lot better than the rather boring first part. It's been a long time since I saw it and even longer since I read the Stephen King story. But this does have that typical King atmosphere, although King didn't have much to do with it. Nice kills, good pace. Some of the effects are like those first CGI tests, let's take a look through them. That CGI crap ended up being lethal to the entire horror genre, too. But this one was still fun.
