The love story of Romeo and Juliet seen through the eyes of Juliet's cousin Rosaline. Coincidentally, she was in a relationship with Romeo, which he broke off after meeting Juliet. Rosaline is left heartbroken but hatches a plan to thwart the new romance and win Romeo back.

A shame about the cringy jokes and sometimes very bad dialogue. Concept is nice and Dever and Merced play well.

Good film in which a boy and girl from two rival families are in love with each other. A nice twist on William Shakespeare's well-known love story, where a side character is the main character here. The film is easy to watch and quite funny in places (although it helps if you are familiar with the original story). A narrow 3.5 stars.
