I had quite a bit of fun with this. Typical French comedy about generational conflicts. The progression is on the predictable side and actually recycles ideas that have often been used in comedies, but as long as it works that's OK with me. Teenager Camille's two grandfathers have to babysit her while the parents are away on a cruise for a few weeks. However, the two grandfathers are very opposite: one is a talker, the other a discipline-obsessed ex-gendarme. When Camille threatens to leave school without having achieved the final objectives it is all hands on deck.
Papi Sitter is a cheerful, sunny and lively comedy that mainly relies on an infectious interplay between Lanvin and Marchal as bickering grandfathers. Sometimes it's all a bit forced, but afterwards you'll have inhaled a big breath of positivity. That average needs to improve here.
