In terms of appearance, the film is not very annoying, but it all came across as terribly vague... Elijah Wood, Jon Lovitz and Bruce Willis are all fine in their roles here, but what really irritated me was that kid with the glasses, every time that 'I-know-it-all-much-better' headline came into view... Well, the story isn't that special of course, it's entertaining here and there, but in terms of that, North made me definitely not much.

2.0*

I watched this movie and it wasn't bad. Maybe a little more for a younger audience, although I enjoyed it too. In short, a family film.

Also a lot of famous people: Elijah Wood, Bruce Willis, Jon Lovitz, ...

Not a masterpiece, but still nice to see.

God, what an annoying movie. Elijah Wood as title character North is the least annoying, except for his idiotic name (in the Splinter or Lightning category), although he doesn't do much to make it interesting. And hey, Bruce Willis and Jason Alexander aren't too bad either. But this is a kind of silly children's version of Around the World in 80 Days, where perfect son North auditions with all kinds of parents in infantile and unfunny visions of what all kinds of states and countries look like. One set of parents is even crazier than the other, but the worst is that wisecracking Brainy Smurf from North's class. It is mainly simple and painfully unfunny, just wash away the taste with something more interesting.
