Making the Grade plot

"His major was attitude."

Palmer Woodrow's filthy rich dad wants his son to graduate. No degree, no money! Palmer hates school. He prefers to travel to Europe. So he hires Eddie Keaton (Judd Nelson) to help him graduate. And he shouldn't have done that. Because the cheerful flierefluiter Eddie is turning things upside down. At the swanky private school, the silly Eddie is pretty out of place. But then things go wrong. Eddie's dad has to come to school and that fake dad is too crazy about it. Eddie's bookie tries to scam the school, the real Palmer comes back and Eddie's great love suddenly doesn't want to hear from him anymore.
