Ma and Pa Kettle and their 15 children will soon be evicted from their dilapidated rural cottage. But then Dad wins a big prize with a slogan for a tobacco brand. Birdie Hicks is jealous of the family's newfound wealth, including a brand new modern home, and accuses Pa of stealing his catchphrase. Journalist Kim Parker, who has a crush on Tom Kettle, will investigate.
