This turned out better than originally thought!
In my view, a comedy has only one task to fulfill: to make people laugh. I'm not saying that while you're watching Let's Go to Prison you're thrashing around on the floor laughing, but there were some pretty funny bits in it. Of course the acting performances are also important; which I certainly have nothing to complain about in this film. Actually, this comedy scores well across the board, it's just a shame that the ending was suddenly a whole level lower than the rest of the film.

Mediocre film about a revolving door criminal who wants revenge on the judge who sent him to prison. The movie starts off pretty well and the setup itself is fun. But after that it gets a little more fragmented. Sometimes funny, but not all humor is equally successful (like the scenes with Chi McBride). Dax Shepard knows how to bring it fun, in contrast to the somewhat boring Will Arnett.
