Tried this one once and it was not a bad film that manages to captivate despite the not so special story. The cast did a great job and the movie looked great.

The running time was also good, not too long and not too short.

Not a masterpiece, but it didn't get boring either. Nice to catch up when he comes on TV.

Driven by fate, a lonely writer and a doubting Indian driving instructor come into contact with each other and, after some struggles, form a close friendship. A culture clash wrapped in a transparent and banal story. Still, the film is entertaining and surprisingly sympathetic.

Fine acting by Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley. Both do not represent profoundly complex characters, but lend their characters a pleasant charm and freshness that is very compelling. No matter how transparent the characters are and how transparent the course of the story is, as a viewer you quickly exchange your cynical look for a look that empathizes and sympathizes.

Typical feel-good with a story centered on an encounter between two cultures. Clichéd and simplified. There are no profound reflections that provoke thought. On the contrary. The film tells a story that you don't have to do anything with except to be carried away by its charm.

Nice.

Nice film about a woman who is going through a divorce and decides to take driving lessons. The film deals with quite a few subjects, but it remains just too superficial. The best scenes are the moments between Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley together. Partly thanks to them and the not too long playing time, it still looks easy.
