Le Bon Roi Dagobert plot

King Dagobert I (Coluche) is an Italian King in the 10th century AD. He suffers from intestinal and sexual problems and is just recovering when his royal caravan is attacked. However, he is rescued by soldiers from the Pope's army. He goes to Rome to thank the Pope. When he arrives there, he finds himself involved in a battle for the power of the papal inheritance. He then meets the merciless Byzantine Princess Héméré.
