Robinson Crusoë plot
Shortly after accepting custody of his dying friend's daughter, Robinson Crusoé is ordered by the shipowners to join a merchant ship. When the ship's officers want to deviate from the shipowners' orders by getting slaves, Robinson resists and is evicted in a small dinghy. He arrives on a small uninhabited island, where he has to live for 15 years. On this island, Robinson rescues a native from cannibals, after which he stays with him. While he tries to educate his new companion - he calls him Vendredi (Friday) - some civilization, it appears that Robinson too can and must learn a lot.
