The young writer Grover has only one dream; he wants to move to New York with his girlfriend Jane. But when Jane wants to go to college in Prague, Grover can't put pen to paper anymore. He turns to his friends for support, but they don't really know what to say or do. One is addicted to crossword puzzles, the other does not dare to travel. Finally, the boys end up at the bar with Chet in hopes that he will set them on the right path. But Chet can barely handle his own life.
