Edgar (Dermot Mulroney) is an artist living in Paris during the 1920s. He believes gender is a topic of vital importance, but hardly anyone discusses it with the seriousness it deserves. That's why Edgar gathers a bunch of fellow creative types at the home of a rich (Nolte) and his oddly accentuated wife for an evening where they'll discuss their erotic life without wit or exaggeration.
