Italy, 1930s. Tonino, a sad peasant travels to Rome to kill Mussolini. Through his anarchist connections, he comes into contact with Salome, a young woman who lives in a brothel and helps him achieve his goal. In the brothel, however, he falls in love with the young whore Tripolina.
