A beautiful spectacle about fame and realistic personality. Four celebrities meet in different ways in a hotel room and reveal a side of themselves that is not visible outside the four walls. This creates wonderful interaction between the main characters. A beautiful play, culminating in a stunning scene between Einstein and Monroe discussing the theory of relativity.

The whole thing is nicely layered, making it extra enjoyable, and a smashing ending.

A solid 3.5* / just under 4*, but definitely worth a rewatch.

A 4-star then, because I immediately feel the urge to get the above Blu-ray.

A good film in which the paths of a professor, an actress, a sportsman, and a senator cross in a hotel room. Clearly based on a play, and perhaps a bit monotonous due to this setup. Many of the dialogues are certainly engaging, and it is beautifully edited. The scenes between the actress and the professor are the best moments.

Theresa Russell does a pretty good job as Marilyn Monroe and the plot sounds bizarre, but it made me curious how this would be brought to life.

Well, that was quite a disappointment. I was somewhat under the impression that all the characters would be brought together for a more or less philosophical discussion, but nothing could be further from the truth. The conversation between Monroe and Einstein is nice, but I found the rest much less engaging, and that, interspersed with those weird images, completely took me out of the story.

Nice to have seen it once, but I didn't find it all that memorable.
