Il Caimano plot
Bruno Bonomo, producer of B-movies, is a man on the brink of collapse. He's completely broke, and hasn't made a movie in years. Moreover, his marriage is in danger of falling apart. At a festival where his work is shown, a young woman approaches him with her script entitled "Il Caimano". Because he has nothing to do, he decides to make a film. However, it soon turns out to be no ordinary script: "Il Caimano" is a biography. A very critical, in fact downright negative, look at the life and work of President Silvio Berlusconi. The TV channel RAI adamantly refuses to finance the film, and actors are not eager to play the Italian political heavyweight. Gradually, Bruno discovers that this project, from which everyone flees, may be the way up for him. And that he can thus give the Italian people, and his wife, what they have been waiting for.
