"The career where two heads are better than one."
Denis Bagley is an advertiser who can't think of a slogan for a certain purple cream. The growing concern about this impotence has negative consequences for his relationship with his wife, friends and colleagues. Then a boil on his neck suddenly develops eyes and a mouth, after which it starts talking and grows into his alter ego.
