Ishbo is a philosophical caveman who yearns to get more out of life than sticks, stones and raw meat. Determined to single-handedly advance the human race, Ishbo begins to annoy his fellow Neanderthals with his ridiculous inventions such as the toothbrush, spoon and pants. The rest of his tribe, including his annoyed parents, disapprove of his foresighted and forward-looking ideas as the ravings of a complete idiot, something that doesn't help him either to impress the beautiful Fardart, a cave girl he meets from afar. worships. But Fardart only has eyes for Ishbo's beautiful but not too bright brother Thudnik. Just when it seems it can't get any worse, the tribe on the other side of the hill prepares for war. Will his tribe survive the tribal war and if so, will Ishbo ever win Fardart's love?
