"It's Dazzling...Delightful...And DeLovely!"
Over-age choirboy Stanley Snodgrass (Hope) struggles to become a star until he is asked to oppose the great Irene Bailey (Dahl). What he doesn't know is that he's just bait to catch the killer Jack the Slasher. He is possessed by Bailey and has the habit of cutting up every male opponent of hers. Unaware of the deadly threat, Stanley manages to fail the show in his familiar way.
