For the past few years, the Heart Eyes Killer has been wreaking havoc on Valentine’s Day, stalking and murdering romantic couples. On Valentine’s Day, two coworkers working in Seattle are mistaken for a couple by the Heart Eyes Killer. Working together to survive, the employees navigate the city’s romantic landscape and attempt to evade the killer.

Heart Eyes is without a doubt one of the best slasher films in years. The kills are numerous, original and gory. The killer is also quite something. He is both terrifying and not infallible, which benefits the credibility. The acting is also solid and there is clearly a certain chemistry between the two protagonists. The humor is sometimes a bit on the silly side, but repeatedly very successful. The tone is light-hearted and entertaining. When you think it's over, a rabbit is pulled out of the hat, as it should be. Definitely a good horror film!
