Mediocre action film. The story is secondary, which is to be expected within this genre. The execution isn't particularly strong. The pace is fast, and the film never bores. But it all feels very forced and cheap. A bit of fighting, followed by a childish attempt to escape. And that cycle is repeated several times until the laughable finale. A film like this proves once again that the Rambo films are truly exceptional. 2.0

Prisoner of War is a film starring Adkins that always provides entertainment. The rest was all subpar. The theatrical music, especially, meant to exaggerate the war, was actually laughable. Switch off your brain and go with this Adkins film.

Watched it on DVD today and thought it was an entertaining film!

We see a lot of fights from Scott Adkins, he has to fight against different opponents every time and is also held in an area by the Japanese leader (Ito)

There are more prisoners in the camp, he also comes up with a plan later to possibly escape or call for help.

It wasn't really spectacular anywhere and unfortunately there were no explosions or anything bombastic about the film; it mostly just consisted of fights.

So don't expect Rambo 2

I enjoyed it quite a bit, although I expected a bit more spectacle.
