Average Elvis movie. Some sunshine, women and an Elvis singing songs as usual. But it's pretty fun and entertaining. decent movie, nothing more. 2.5.

The title says it all and that's what this movie was all about. Not a bad concept of course Because the film is of course very dated, it is of course all prudish. This film is certainly not a high-flyer and this film again contained the typical Elvis Presley elements, namely a cheerful cliché film, beautiful sets and environments and fun songs.

Sun, sea and Elvis. And some girls. This is the second of three films set in Hawaii. But in Blue Hawaii the photography of the beautiful landscapes was played out a bit more. The scenario here is just enough to keep things going. There is a bit of drama at the core, but it is delivered fairly flatly. It's not that the chemistry splashes off the screen, far from it. The film also lasts quite a long time because of the songs that are used in it. They are fun songs though. Return to Sender is the main bird and would become one of the last chart toppers from his soundtracks of the 1960s.

As an entertaining piece of escapism, this film totally works. And that's how I view it.
