In itself, the style of humor may be the same as that in Office Space, but what makes that film very strong is its recognizability for anyone who has a similar job as an office sucker - so most of the western world, I think. But that recognizability is hardly an issue here - who then recognizes himself in this leading role? Let me get up.

Affleck actually annoys me in every movie he's in, but his role here is small enough that it's barely noticeable. Bateman is doing okay, but the amount of jokes per minute is a bit on the low side to really be able to speak of a successful comedy. Also because the jokes aren't really that much fun. With one exception - the situation around the neighbor at the end, I was a bit blue. That works, a really good joke at the end - then you forget that the rest was a bit boring after all.

And Mila Kunis is of course very pleasant to watch. That also helps the movie.

It's nothing compared to Office Space. I expected more from it, but unfortunately the story didn't captivate me much and I watched the film with one eye open (or one eye closed for the negative people among us). Which even then cost me some effort. Sorry, Mike.

nice comedy but not a high flyer some scenes are bland others are nice .

I didn't immediately recognize ben affleck with his beard.

the supporting characters are indeed occasionally funny but no longer as filler for the main story which does not really come into its own .
