"On December 21st, 1970, two of America's greatest recording artists met for the first time."
On December 21, 1970, an infamous meeting takes place between US President Richard Nixon and Elvis Presley. Previously, Presley Nixon had written a six-page letter asking if he could get a job with the anti-drug brigade. At first Nixon doesn't like it, but he turns out to have many similarities with The King.

Nixon didn't want Elvis to leave the building
Nice starting point to develop the story around a photo. An unexpectedly fun film about a strange encounter between two very different people.
Sometimes it feels like you're watching a play through the dialogues.
At first I had to get used to Michael Shannon as Elvis, but as the film progressed it didn't bother me.
It's also nice that the soundtrack did not contain any Elvis songs.

Yes, this is a nice video. You just have to come to terms with it; making a film based on a photo of an encounter between 2 very different men. Michael Shannon wouldn't be my 1st choice for Elvis, but the man does a great job. The King was in a strange phase of his life and that comes across well. Kevin Spacey also growls convincingly as Nixon. Supporting roles are also well filled, with even Johnny Knoxville as a bodyguard.

Reasonable.
Frivolously shot farce. Delivered quickly and smoothly, with two protagonists who perfectly understand the nonsense they are playing into. I especially like Michael Shannon, who doesn't look anything like Elvis. A few good laughs, although this is by no means high-quality cinema. Very suitable as a snack.
