In the company of his friend John Kincaid, also married to a brutal woman, Elmer Beebe extensively embraces the theory that a woman should "know her place" and keep out of her husband's affairs. But when he tries to put this theory into practice at home, Elmer encounters strong resistance from Elsie. She has become convinced that the handsome Rocky Cott will lead her husband to financial success. The necessary complications arise.
