Doula plot
Deb tries to conceive with her new boyfriend Silvio. To explore alternative delivery methods, the couple hires a midwife named Penka. When she dies unexpectedly, Silvio hires her son Sascha as a replacement. He then comes to live with them. At first, Deb hesitates about the decision, but she soon grows closer to Sascha. Silvio feels left out and begins to direct Deb's pregnancy. This leads to an explosive battle that forces Deb to choose between her child's father and her newly formed friendship.
