Denmark plot
"A Great Place To Start A New Life... Sentence."
Herb leads a hopeless life in Wales. There are no jobs in the area where he lives and there is no prospect of a better life. Then one day Herb sees an item on television about a country where even prisoners are well and pampered as much as possible. From that moment on, Herb has only one goal in mind: to travel to Denmark and be arrested there.

Watched this movie with great pleasure. A unique story and in my opinion it could have been longer.

When down-and-out Welshman Herb [Rafe Spall] sees a report on Denmark’s open prisons, he believes he’ll be better off there. A friend [Thomas W. Gabrielsson] puts him in touch with truck driver Harry “The Horse” [Steve Speirs] who helps him illegally cross over to Scandinavia. Once in Denmark, Herb has to do something he’ll be sentenced for, and it’s not easy. He also befriends Matilda [Simone Lykke]. The premise is amusing, but this supposed comedy fails to materialize because Shergold can’t find the right balance between comedy and drama.
