Homeless girl Ruth Stoops is pregnant for the fifth time when she is arrested for drug use. In exchange for a light sentence, she promises the judge to have her unborn child 'removed'. But in her cell, Ruth is confronted by four anti-abortion activists who were arrested during a demonstration. They offer Ruth shelter until her baby is born. But that was just not the intention. Before she realizes it, Ruth is elevated to a symbol of the anti-abortion lobby. Things really get out of hand when the women of the boss-in-your-belly movement also want to put the naive Ruth in their favour.
