In a kingdom far away, King I Myself the First reigns. He decides he deserves a vacation and wants one of his three daughters to replace him temporarily. He tests them by asking how much they love him. Drahomíra loves him like gold, Zpevanka loves him like the gold in her voice, and the youngest daughter Maruška loves him like salt. Displeased with Maruška's answer, I Myself banish her and demand that all the salt in the kingdom be destroyed. He soon regrets it.
